SOTD: Fed Up At Propeller? Just Relax.

So, here we are again thinking about Propeller and why so many people are upset. There have been various complaints, angry e-mails, vicious postcards and even a video posted (not really) that argued that the reloads, stalls, misposted posts and posts disappearing into the ether are simply unacceptable.

Despite my own considerable frustration, I’ve come to the conclusion that despite all of the hassle in dealing with the several problems that come up, there are a whole host of reasons why I’m still at Propeller and you should be too.

1. Propeller is free

SOTD: Dirty Pool: The Politics of Guilt by Association

If we’re to believe it, the candidates are not only responsible for the things that they say and do; they’re also responsible for what their respective churches say and do. There’s more than enough ammunition for people who dislike the candidates in their own actions and comments without resorting to guilt by association, so isn’t it about time we start listening to them and not everyone else?

My Favorite Poem: Gunga Din

Sometimes poetry can better express how we feel, than any of our own words. I'm often struck by the rhythm and sound of this poem by Rudyard Kipling. It speaks to the fact that even though we treat people like crap because of their race, color or creed, in the end they may be better people than we are.

"Gunga Din"
by: Rudyard Kipling

YOU may talk o' gin an' beer
When you're quartered safe out 'ere,
An' you're sent to penny-fights an' Aldershot it;
But if it comes to slaughter
You will do your work on water, 5

Curbing Abortion is About Sex Education

There was a recent article on http://www.propeller.com/ about a specialist in sex education in Norway suggesting that kindergarten age children (ages 1-5) be allowed to openly express their sexuality. Here’s the link:

Reid and Limbaugh: Brothers in Spin

So, Rush is selling a letter on E-Bay received by the chairman of Clear Channel, Mr. Mark Mays from Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. This was the letter that Senator Reid sent to Mr. Mays as a response to some comments made by Mr. Limbaugh on his radio program. Here is what prompted the letter:

“RUSH ARCHIVE: It's not possible intellectually to follow these people.

CALLER: No, it's not. And what's really funny is they never talk to real soldiers. They like to pull these soldiers that come up out of the blue and spout to the media.

RUSH: The phony soldiers.

Seriously, I Don’t Want Tomatoes

So, last night, after watching Rutgers put the beatdown on Southern Florida, I got hungry for a Wendy’s burger. I’d had a beer or two and at that time of night I start to get the hankering for some square beef patties and greasy fries.

Bullet Point Perception: American Idiots

Over the last several years I’ve noticed that Americans get farther and farther away from what any rational person would call intellectual thought. No point is analyzed in any real detail and we forget about something once it’s off the news.

Here’s a headline that might get the attention of both conservatives and liberals:

“President Bush Vetoes Legislation to Help Poor Children”

And here is the synopsis:

Netscape: Wild West

What's the Thread That Tamed the 'Scape? Can Netscape be tamed? Do we want it to be tamed?

Howdy, folks! Let me tell you the tale of why Netscape is the Wild West of social networking sites. It struck me last night while watching a show on ABC called “iCaught” that when one of the people on the show talked about the Internet being the ‘Wild West’ that Netscape may be the best example of how and why the Internet is the Wild West.

Moderate Christians Need to Stand Up

Last night I was watching the news and saw that Heather Burcham had died. Now, most of you don’t know who this fine example of humanity was, but she was a 31 year old woman that died of cervical cancer. Here is her message:
